Miami Flower

This painting originated from a visit to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida. The various botanical gardens form an ecological community of plants from tropical and subtropical areas of the world. Many of the flowers were breathtaking in their beauty. During that sunny day we visited the Fairchild Gardens, I saw this flower, with its brilliant violet and yellow colors set against a background of green.
